Garden-inspired Celebration in Austin, TX
This special garden-inspired wedding came with one main direction: pink, with little pops of other color. J, the bride, didn’t have a clear vision for the ceremony florals, but she wanted something sweet. I love working with couples who trust me to make creative decisions — from choosing flowers and colors to designing pieces that showcase my style. J loved my natural, garden-inspired approach, so it truly felt like a perfect match.

I always aim to source what’s blooming in season and to buy local whenever possible. Late spring into early summer might just be my favorite time for flowers — the variety and texture are so good. J’s only specific request was to include ranunculus, so I made sure her bridal bouquet featured plenty of them. For this wedding, I sourced blooms from the wonderful Cassiopeia Farm just south of Austin and also shopped at Austin Flower Co. Both offer such a beautiful and unique selection of flowers. The venue, Vintage Villas on Lake Travis, was incredibly romantic with stunning lake views. Because the ceremony backdrop was the water, I didn’t want anything too tall to block it — so I designed low, lush ground installs to frame both sides of the space.

One of my favorite ways to maximize wedding florals is by repurposing ceremony arrangements for the reception. For J & T’s day, we moved the lush ground installs from the ceremony and wrapped them around the sweetheart table to create a romantic, garden-like setting indoors. Not only does this make the most of your floral investment, but it also helps the reception feel just as intentional and beautifully designed as the ceremony. These pieces were too gorgeous not to be seen twice!
